Friday 16 June 2017

11am – 4pm, The Trinity Centre, Bristol

Avon and Wiltshire Partnership is celebrating people who have learning disabilities and their achievements with a fun packed day of art, music and creativity in Bristol.

This special event takes place on Friday 16 June 2017 from 11 am until 4pm at The Trinity Centre, Trinity Road, Bristol, BS2 0NW.  The Trowbridge Song Project’s ‘Mill Race Singing Group’ will be sharing their songs in a short performance at 11.10am.

The Mill Race Activity Club meet once a month at Marden House in Calne. The group, part of Family Action (https://www.family-action.org.uk/) provide weekly activities for vulnerable adults in the local community. Find out more about Mill Race here: http://www.millraceactivityclub.org.uk/. Masha, Clara and Gwyn have been leading singing sessions at Mill Race since October 2016 and the performance will feature a selection of the group’s favourite songs that we’ve learned together.

Organised by the Avon and Wiltshire Partnership (NHS) the celebration day is aimed at people who have learning disabilities, their families and carers as well as those who work to support them.

With the help of local services and providers such as Bristol City Council, Brandon Trust, Wiltshire Music Centre and others that work with people with learning disabilities, the AWP will host a day of fun, creativity and inspiration with performances, workshops and information stalls. You can see the flyer here.
